Here's an uplifting quote in New Hampshire

Here's an uplifting quote from Barack Obama in New Hampshire today:

“If you believe that we don’t have to settle for what the cynics tell us we have to settle for, but instead we can reach for what we know is possible,” Mr. Obama told an overflowing audience at the Lebanon Opera House Monday morning. “I am convinced that we will not just win the nomination, we will not just win a general election, but you and I together, we can start repairing this country and repairing the world and we will once again have an America that all of us believe in again.”

Sad thing is he tells us nothing of HOW he is going to repair ANYTHING.

Obama: Vote for me and I'll bring change!
Undecided Voter: What kind of change will you bring?
Obama: Real change for America!
Undecided Voter: What kind of real change will you do?
Obama: Real change that will make a difference.
Undecided Voter: How will you make a difference?
Obama: I'll make a difference through change!

Wow that makes things SO clear.

I like Obama. He's not a person so set in his ways that there will be no suggestions or critiques from others. He wants change, and it seems to me he let other people (perhaps the more experienced ones?) offer him guidance in doing this. I think, if he wins the Democratic nominee, that I will probably vote for him.

People like Obama because they see videos on YouTube.  Most of them can't tell you anything about him, or exactly what he is going to change.

I've never seen a video of him on YouTube. I watched the debates in New Hampshire, and ask around as much as I can about all of the candidates. I know I'm not the most informed voter out there, but from what I've seen, I like him just fine.

Then you are not listening. He says: We, with him, can bring the change we want and do the repairs we need.

Isnt that what democarcy is? you just want to sit and let someone, him or anyother, tell us what we need to do? the country has many many people smarter and better to plan and execute the needed changes. All any smart president has to do is to ALLOW those smart and qualified people to do their job. That is how we got to the moon and won wars.

Did JFK know how do we go to the moon?

Did FDR know how do we win the war or develop the Bomb?

The smart Generals and scientists whom both men allowed and ordered to do the jobs did it. that is what Obama says.

Sorry (well not really), but I want to know what specifically a candidate will do.  Just because he says he will "change" things doesn't mean anything really.

Knowing democrats they want to raise taxes, increase social spending, etc.  All things we don't need.

I'll totally agree with you TA. However the problem with many democrats is they DON'T ALLOW those smart and qualified people to do their job. Just take for instance the current war in Iraq. The democrats have constantly been tying the hands of our troops and generals in order to create a quagmire.

Is Obama bringing the same kind of change Nancy Pelosi said?

Who would he recommend for the Supreme Court?
What exactly IS his foreign policy? Recently he said he would invade Pakistan but would go and talk to Iran's president!?

If he is so big about 'change' what has he done in the Senate yielding SO much change to make him even remotely credible?

And heaven forbid the people make any kind of sacrifice for the good of the country. Right?

Increasing social spending does not do any good, just the opposite really.  We have already become too much of a nanny state as it is, and democrats will only extend that even more.
